Terms and conditions
Terms for parcel pickup and poste restante at PostEkspress Nordic AB in Strömstad. Last updated 12 October 2026.
What the service covers
PostEkspress Nordic AB, organisation number 559602-9073, Trädgårdsgatan 8, 452 31 Strömstad, receives parcels addressed to you, stores them, and hands them over when you collect them.
The service is parcel receipt and poste restante for customers in Norway who shop in the EU. We are not a carrier, a shop, or a freight forwarder. We do not send the parcel home to you in Norway.
You use the delivery address on the account, including the customer ID, when you order. The shop must be able to ship to a street address in Sweden.
Your responsibility for customs and VAT
You must follow Norwegian import law when you bring the goods across the border. That includes customs duty, VAT and other charges.
A purchase from an EU shop to the address in Strömstad stays inside the EU. That does not replace the rules Norwegian Customs sets for what you carry into Norway. Check the current limits at tolletaten.no before you travel.
We do not declare the goods for you and we do not give binding advice on customs or VAT. Errors in what you tell the shop, the carrier or the customs authority are your responsibility.
Identification at pickup
When you collect a parcel you must show valid photo identification. A passport, national ID card or driving licence is accepted. The name must match the account.
Give your customer ID. If someone else collects for you, that must be agreed in advance, and that person must show their own identification.
We may refuse handover if identification is missing, does not match, or we are unsure who is collecting.
Storage time
The parcel is stored free of charge for 14 days after we have notified you that it is ready. There is no extra storage fee in that period.
After those 14 days we contact you by email or phone. Further storage may cost extra. If you do not reply within 14 days of that message, we may return the parcel at your cost, charge a storage fee, or dispose of the contents.
We give notice before disposal when we have a usable contact address. Goods that cannot be stored safely, such as perishable food, may be handled sooner.
Prohibited goods
We do not accept weapons, ammunition, explosives, narcotics, dangerous goods, live animals, perishable food, cash, counterfeit goods, or anything else that is illegal in Sweden or Norway.
Tobacco and alcohol beyond what the rules allow, and goods a carrier refuses to deliver, are not accepted either.
We may refuse a shipment, contact the police or another authority, and close the account if this term is broken.
Limitation of liability
We are responsible for receiving the parcel at the address and for storing it with ordinary care until it is collected or handled under these terms.
We are not liable for damage, loss or delay that happened with the carrier or before the parcel was delivered to us. Those claims go to the carrier or the shop.
We are not liable for the consequences of your import rules, customs, VAT, or for a shop refusing to ship to Sweden.
Where we are liable anyway, liability is limited to what you paid us for that parcel. The limit does not apply to personal injury, or where Swedish law does not allow liability to be limited, including gross negligence or intent.
Payment and the account
The price is on the price page and covers receipt and handover in Strömstad. You pay before the parcel is handed over, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Unpaid parcels are not handed over. Larger or heavy shipments must be agreed before you order, so we can confirm space and price.
The account is personal. Keep the customer ID and password to yourself. You can correct your details under My account, download your data, and delete the account there. If you cannot sign in, email us.
We may close the account in case of misuse, unpaid charges, or a breach of these terms. Parcels already received are then handled under the storage rules.
Governing law
The contract covers services performed in Sweden by a Swedish company. Swedish law applies.
Disputes are decided by a Swedish court. You keep the rights that mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you.
